COAs & Documentation
What is a Certificate of Analysis (COA)?
The signed document from a laboratory reporting the tests it performed on a specific lot and the results it obtained.
How do I read a COA, and match it to my vial?
Find the lot code on your vial, confirm it matches the lot code on the certificate, then check the testing laboratory and test dates.
What is the difference between supplier documentation and independent testing?
Supplier documentation comes from whoever supplied the material; independent testing comes from a laboratory with no ownership stake in the result.
Does documentation stay available after a lot sells out, and can it be corrected?
A published lot record keeps its permanent address regardless of whether the product is still listed. A formal correction/erratum process is not yet published.
